You should feel free to post watches here that you are considering. The forum is very generous in that way, keeping you from getting something that isn't collectible.

And yeah, those 1950s black dialed Seamasters are really cool. Hope you end up with 1!

FWIW, the dealer of that watch clearly stated that the dial had been “restored” so, he wasn’t hiding or misleading IMO. Still too expensive for what it is, though.

This forum is not the audience for a redial, but that's the power of presentation. The redial is well done, in a color that appeals to today's trends, and the photos are excellent. These guys are not getting too rich off these, but they do seem to be selling them.

There is always a market for these redials. Buyers don't care. The Ukrainian frankenwatches are also popular which a certain audience.

And keep an eye on the OF 'Private watch sales' and 'watch Sales' threads.

Agreed. I thought it was well done as well, and I understand most members of the forum hate a redial. But there is a place for them in the 99.9% of the world who aren’t on this forum. I just wanted to point out the seller was honest in his description.

As a new member you can buy a watch for sale here on Private Watch sales (from OF collectors) as well as Watch sales (from dealers). Just send PM to them. Much safer than EB or other sites.

Heres a nice black dial watch from a OF member on Private Watch thread (no connection to seller)
