Hi there, new member here. I'm looking for a GMT with ceramic bezel, not bigger than 41mm. Any ideas? Thanks
Current Omega GMT models are larger - regardless of whether they have a ceramic bezel or not: https://www.omegawatches.com/watchfinder/
Right... my problem is that I have a slim wrist (under 7 inches), so my choices are always slim (pun intended). My 2531.80 is perfect for my wrist. Anything larger than that would be too much... So, there's nothing currently available like that? And some past model, no?
The smallest GMT you will find in the current Omega range is the AquaTerra GMT at 43mm, and it does not have the ceramic bezel. Not aware of any past Omega GMT models with ceramic bezels for 41mm. You may want to look at GrandSeiko if you don't want to go for Rolex at this stage, but again for under 41mm you won't have a ceramic bezel option. http://www.grand-seiko.com/collection/detail.php?pid=SBGJ003 Your specification GMT/Ceramic under 41mm screams Rolex. If I were you I would save to buy a Rolex GMT
I understand that, but I already have a 14060M. Getting a Batman would make me having 2 similar watches, that's why I's like a Omega for a change. Thanks a lot for all your input!
Christopher Ward will be doing a 38mm Trident GMT with a ceramic bezel https://www.christopherward.co.uk/watches/dive/c60-trident-pro-gmt-600
Ah yes, Chr. Ward... I've owned 3 of them in the past. Lovely watches, but only wished they could make the C60 in 40~41mm case... That GMT has is in fact crossed my mind... they're having a sale right now, so I asked Wera if they had some lightly used GMT over there. I might go that way, if Omega doesn't offer what I'm looking for, sadly...
that one has a cool mix of gmt and diver bezel design, i dig! CHWard always has some really lovely looking watches.
I can't think of an Omega, but my favorite GMT watch is the old Rolex 16570 Explorer II. Get one while the prices are still reasonable.
I was looking for a GMT, preferably sub-41mm. The 'Great White' stuck out, and I looked at others from Sinn, Rolex, Glycine etc. The Omega 2535.80 came close as well, but it has an aluminium bezel. I ended up going for a Polar Exp. II 16570. Very happy. Rolex and with a SS bezel so not exactly what you're looking for, but I'm very happy with it.
I don't really think they are 'similar' watches - if by that you mean 'both made by Rolex' OK, but aside from that they differ on a multitude of levels
