The bezels are not as easily manipulated as a Planet Ocean, or even other brands for sure. It is one of the gripes I have with the 300M line (along with the lack of taper in the bracelet). However the tapered rubber of the ceramic 300M is really nice. I have that strap on the white 300M and it's my favorite rubber strap.

I agree the PO proportions are a little off on the 39.5, at least to me. The current 43.5mm looks great though!

Yeah, I've tried the PO 39.5 multiple times, and it wears a bit like a tower, just always feels unbalanced on my 7" wrist, despite the quality of the finish and watch as a whole. That ceramic SMP is amazing in person.

I've slowly come round to the SMP Diver's bezel. It works well enough with dive gloves to be usable, although I generally prefer the Pelagos or Doxa 1500 for their greater visibility, and the finishing on that bezel is beautifully-done, a real magnet for light. So it trades a bit of functionality for panache. If it's your only dive and you dive or use the bezel for timing regularly I get it, but using the press-and-turn method it's rarely let me down.

the ceramic 300m is awesome, makes me question the silly hype and inflated prices of a rolex submariner

Oh my, let's not go down that rabbit hole.

The submariner is a great watch at $4200. That's where it should be priced, right alongside the Seamaster.

Back to the OP: I had a DSOTM Apollo 8, which was just absolutely gorgeous. It does wear small for what it is, but it's still 44mm and that's just too much for my scrawny little waif-like wrists, so I had to let it go.

I like shiny, so ceramic works well for me. I can't get over the size and prices for the other models though, quite frankly. I don't think it costs Omega $2000 to manufacture a case.
