I would be suprised if your box dates to the 1920`s I would guess this is more
1940`s

Is this box from the 1920’s or 1930’s? I know this font is associated with the mid to late 20’s era but the box looks like a 30’s one.

Makes sense. So would the 13ZN come in a box like this?

I've found the only way to be certain what watch a box belongs to is to come across either an advertisement which shows the box as well, or to find a full-set from a (trustworthy) owner - both of which are becoming harder to find as time marches on.

It also seems like dealers sometimes mixed-and-matched, so it's really difficult to tell

I never really considered boxes before. I have always considered 13ZN, 30CH, 13.33z, Cal 15 etc as watches with no boxes and I don’t think I’ve ever even seen one with a box. But now I kinda want to reunite my 1935 Cal 15 with an original box, as long as it’s not too expensive.
