Up for sale from my private collection is this very nice oversized Longines with original Longines paperwork and buckle Longines Ref. 4914 - Serial no. 9678... dates back to ca. 1955, sold in 1958 in former Rhodesia - Cal. 12.68z - Original dial, never refinished - Oversized solid steel case (37.2 mm without crown) - Applied rose gold markers and hands - Signed original Longines crown - High quality cordovan leather strap - Original Longines buckle Dial and Hands Clean original dial, warm and evenly patinated. Faceted applied rose gold markers and dauphine hands. Case Sharp 37 mm solid steel case with minor wear, no heavy dings etc. Movement Clean Longines in-house manual caliber ref. 12.68z. The watch winds and sets very smooth and the movement is running strong, but I have no information about it's service history. Price and Shipping What makes this Longines so special is the fact that it comes in unmolested condition with original dial, guarantee card and original buckle. It was originally sold in 1958 in the city of Bulawayo. Bulawayo is the second biggest city of Zimbabwe, but at that time the country was still a British colony known as Rhodesia. The original owner was Mr. "Dr. A. Kennedy". Well, somehow it found it's way into my collection and now I am selling to make some room for new pieces. My asking is 1.099 EUR (OBO) net to me.
