I am familiar with that watch (2646). You will note that it is already in the spreadsheet on page 1 of this thread. I have seen close-up photos of the dial and the quality is very poor.
I’d love to see if you can top the previous one you got— I am skeptical but this one really looks nice too. If I were in hunting mode I would ask for dibs.
The previous one was a series 3 5774 with near perfect dial but the lume in the hands had fallen out. This one is an, imho, more attractive series 1 ánd with lume intact. Can’t wait for it to arrive! My previous one is now with insta-famous Vintagelongines btw I always regretted selling it so this is my chance to make amends.
I know, I saw the dibs and the sale almost in real time and I must admit I never quite understood why you sold it- I assumed it must have been due to the smaller size. Not to rub it in, It was the nicest one I’ve ever seen IMHO and I often slapped myself for not calling for dibs first. I look forward to the pictures.
Can someone share the exact 23603 lug width with me? Want to have a Torre made and in my recollection the lug width is slightly below 16mm? Maybe even more in the direction of 15,5mm?
Haven’t bid, thought that lugs on the first picture looked heavily bended. Way less pronounced on the other pics, seems to be a deformation from the close up pic ! Anyway, that dial is simply stunning
I love it when people do stuff like this for fun. It really helps out novices like me to get into the realm of vintage.
