A really nice “narrow serif” sold earlier today, making just north of €1000 in spite of the fact there was no mention of Marine Nationale in the listing. My snipe didn’t even register...
Thanks a lot. There are still some questionmarks as to condition but let’s see when it arrives. It still is a 70 year old military watch and when you look at it that way, it looks really well preserved.
Congratulations ! Was monitoring the sale, despite the awful pictures I think that was a good buy I'm a coward, so the rusted second hand holded me back Can not wait for your report
Anyone have tips regarding replacement plexis? Were these special in any way (thicker, reinforced,...)? I'm also thinking about having the hands relumed by James Hyman. Ofcourse the movement will require a good service. But let's not get ahead of things and first confirm good receipt An email with information about the piece has already been requested from Longines.
Thanks for this post, great work, I LOVE each variant of that watch. I have a sei tacche that's on Archer's waitlist...
I was looking for this watch but the radium hands scared me (my wife to be honest) ... I've seen you want to relume the hands, is-it possible to "remove" the radium and put tritium hands ?
