·Up for sale is an amazing Longines Heritage 1942 chronograph re-issue.
This was released in 2012, way before the vintage-reissue hype & is overlooked by many people. Longines has been doing this good since the last decade. This is now harder to get as it has been out of production for a long time, and not many people are selling it. I have spent almost a year searching for this particular watch, and now letting it go for sale as I bought so many watches recently.
Many lovely details that is true to original 1942 pieces are preserved in this model: stepped case, glossy black dial, curved lugs, leaf hands. Longines equipped it with the new, heavily modified ETA column wheel movement, which can be see through the sapphire case back, the blued wheel is beautiful. Newer Longines models have a closed case back. This has saved me $100K buying the original 13ZN chronograph 😀
The watch works perfectly and keep excellent time, runs very strong and no servicing is required for at least a few year ahead. Service history is unknown. Cosmetically there are some fine hairline scratches throughout the case, no serious dings/dents/deep scratches. For sale watch head + original black crocodile strap & buckle (refer to the last picture) in a very good condition. No Box/paper include. You can ask Longines for a certificate of extract for free.
I'm asking for US$ 1,800 for this piece, shipping worldwide by FedEx International Priority. The list price for this is $3200 and now sold out everywhere. Dealers are asking for $2800-2900 for this.
