The following 9035 was bumped by Hodinkee - price seems in line with current market with a little dealer premium. @dougiedude - here's your chance? https://alessandrociani.com/product/longines-conquest/
I see, I SEE! The crown is not correct, however... which is a bit unfortunate. Anyway....Dibs on this one!! Inquiry/offer made...
You didn't get it? Other than the crown, what did you think? Looked like the case had been polished a bit, but otherwise... Did you see my PM from an hour or so ago?
For the price I was put off by the polish. He seller 'fixed' the hands after I talked with him. They were black at the time. Well..Full story is, it was on eBay a while ago. Didn't end well. Black hand,,,etc,,,Seller is mainly all Rolex so I gave him some time. We talked. But he pulled it. Didn't see it until your pm. I think I replied but apologies if I missed one of your pm's I only just discovered rpm Mostly really expensive Rollies. Never thought to look for Longines there. Matter of fact, I'm looking to add a couple GMTs. Waiting for my new root beer
Another power reserve joins the family! Interesting combi of cal 292 movement with scalloped crown and plain presentation caseback. Together with my other 294. Thanks @dragoman for the tip-off!
Too late! But I did give him a tip-off as compensation, he should be chiming in with his own duo soon!
Yes, double green with envy, here! I was not as fortunate as Marcus on that one, but... ...like a true gentleman, he held back on another for me! Hopefully, it will be here from Germany any day now... ... two weeks already
And finally, after 3 weeks of waiting ... and with no further adieu, I present to you, from Germany: My SSPR !!!
Yep. So far, so good, although I was surprised to see the PR indicator showing about 39 hours when I opened the box up. Perhaps alot of jostling in the mail-truck? I'll throw it onto the Timegrapher to see if I can tell if it's truly almost 'fully-wound' or not.... But I'm very happy with its cosmetic condition ...
It now makes a pair: The cat's not so sure what all the excitement's about... But I believe I saw what is usually considered the gaze of approval...
Thanks, Marcus, neither one of these ever would have happened without YOU! Your double-dibs (double-dip?) duly noted...
