Longines Cal. 15 Chronograph: Hairspring Repair Advice

Hi all,

I have a Longines Calibre 15 movement in very nice condition except. I have to say it is a really beautiful movement in person.

Does anyone know if the balance is the same as on a regular Valjoux 22GH?

And as a separate question. Is it recommended to blur serial numbers in photos for rare watches like this? Or is it unnecessary?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Lovely! Are you planning to put it in a watch?
Thanks. Probably not as I don’t fancy my chances of finding an original case and dial! But I would at least like to get it running again. So if no one knows for sure I will probably risk buying a 22GH balance and hope for the best.

I just got the ‘Longines Watches That Made History’ book and was pleased to see that the Calibre 15, although the even rarer flyback chronograph version, was judged important enough to get its own chapter.

The trouble is now I really want a 13ZN movement to go with it!
