These are not VL, Dior, Hermes, but more like True Religion. Basically insane denim pants that seem to always be advertised at 30% off and still cost over $170. She gets them for $10-$20. So not luxurious.
Got her a Diamond Zenith Baby Doll Star Open Sea.
She dropped it on the floor...
All of this looks really good, not sure why you find it hard to imagine wearing in public!

To drift the thread even further... I feel like that bird needs an explanation. Is it yours?! I can picture you now posing with a Weems and that bird on your shoulder.

He doesn't like me. I've had my fingers bitten to the bone and he cracked my index finger. Looks sweet, but he's a flying alligator. He's a Citron if you're really curious. Near extinction in the wild unfortunately. I have to have a permit from the US Fish and Game warden to move him out of state. He's pretty restricted and on the C.I.T.I.E.S. highest category so governments around the world are trying to keep poachers from capturing them in Indonesia. He was born in California and likely won't be easy to take out of California.

Awesome! Except for the biting of course. I would say that is a *luxury* bird!

Modern Longines is entry luxury for sure. For many, it’s their first real Swiss watch.

Is it on par with Rolex and Omega? No. Not pound for pound at least. Even the new chronos and GMTs—while great—lack the technical specs for a direct comparison. For example, the Spirit Zulu Time has a pins and sleeves bracelet and a date change that takes over an hour to complete.

I like this dress better. She turned half century

Better yet, the watch still runs.
I can’t make out the watch but those are great pictures. Happy 50 to her!!

It's about price point. Longines prices their watches is way above that of the listed contemporary/designer brands.
There is no such thing as a "point". There are ranges.
In the case of Longines, there has always been, and continues to be, value for the price.

Not sure if that’s still the case today. Here in Canada you’re looking at $4-5k with tax for many of their new releases.

Great watches and heritage of course, but that’s almost Tudor/Omega money and I’m not feeling it.
