Just want to give a shout out to Longines Archives. Following a thread during the last week where members here talked about how easy it was to get info from Longines, I decided to try it myself with a lovely little Weems I picked up recently.

I made a new account on their website, did the pull down option for History on my watch- and gave them the info on my watch
Pardon the filth- pics are prior going to the watchmaker.

I got a response in less than 24 hours:

No info on the case as it was supplied once in the US, but the fact that they responded that fast, and will be sending a paper extract - for free- is mind-blowing customer service these days.

Thank you Longines

I have always had great experiences with Omega, but the fact that Longines gives extracts for free and Omega does not, is not clear to me why..

By offering this service they enable a deep interest and pride by Longines owners.

You’d think that Omega and Rolex would achieve more by following suit than they could achieve, dollar for dollar, through advertising

I did the same thing yesterday and Fatima replied to me in less than 24 hrs, as well. It made my day to find out that my timepiece was more than 100 years old!! Such a high quality and free after sale service from a great brand. I've registered with this forum because I want to start collecting Omegas. But, man, I've got 3 Longines and receiving this amazing service for all of these makes me think twice about pausing collecting Longines.

Their service is truly off the planet in a business that is seemingly only interested in money. Their records are without exception the very best in the business and the information on hand and delivery truly exceptional. The culture in St Imier is truly unique and credit lies with the culture they have created and the real down to earth, friendly and helpful people who are all there. Many of histories most famous events were timed with a Longines and in sports and early aviation space untouched.. and that would also describe their service imho.
