Hi all, I'm being offered this by a local seller for $4,500. Omegas aren't my specialty (I collect vintage Seiko). I'd love any observations about condition or value from the experts. Thanks! SN: 48,3xx,xxx

None of us can be any more expert than you if you do your best to find comparable sales in recent months. Having the box and papers will add a few hundred, I think. Just a quick opinion on this one: If no boxes, etc, I would expect to be able to buy it for 3500 in good working condition.
I think that $3,500 for a 3590.50 in very good condition (watch only) is a bit on the low side. This is the last Speedmaster Professional reference with a tritium dial and hands as well as the 861 movement. The lume on these tends to age to a beautiful shade of yellow. They have been rising steadily in value and this is probably the “youngest” Speedy Pro reference that I would consider to be collectible. $3,800-$4,000 for a very good example is more realistic IMO. OP, for any of us to assess this watch properly, you need to post high resolution photos of the watch and bracelet from all angles taken in natural light. You should also include photos of the movement and the inside of the case back.

It looks very nice but the white glove thing really turns me off. It’s a watch meant to be worn.

The glove thing is just another gimmick to show how important the watch is and to justify the often too high asking price.

Ya that’s why it turns me off. I even see people do it with “cheap” watches on some sites I go to. “Rare vintage Vostok” 85 bucks and they are holding it with white gloves

An alternative explanation is they are just huge Michael Jackson fans.

but the white glove thing
I love when the sellers pull out the latex or thick rubber cleaning gloves to model the watches 🙄

Actually, I bought a 1966 168.004 from an eBay seller who sent me a video of the watch being handled and shown by someone wearing bright blue rubber kitchen gloves. Turned out to be one of the best sellers I’ve ever dealt with and one of the nicest watches in my collection. One never knows ...
