Ok, you don't have to explain why, just list the three limited edition Speedmasters that if you were to make a wish they'd suddenly appear on your desktop, or wherever you keep your watches. And if you can't limit it to three you can add an alternate. Let's see...

My List
1. Apollo -Soyuz 1976 ref 145.0022
2. Apollo XI 1994 25th Anniversary Skeleton ref 345.0063
3. Silver Snoopy Award 2015 ref 311.32.42.30.04.003

Alternate Apollo VIII 2018 Dark Side of the Moon

Great post! The whole LE thing is a big part of the Speedmaster tradition. In all honesty, I think many of the LEs are pretty lame or not very beautiful, too gimicky and really don't give me a connection to a kind of event. For instance the Apollo 17th mission 45th Anniversary from 2017, the event does not stick to me and i think the watch is not very pretty from all sides. Or think of the one with the Face of Apollo engraved on the dial.. A bigger rate of the recent LEs have been better deisgned and executed since they are more beautiful imho but there are also some exceptions i think the stainless steel 50th anniversary is really strange, while the gold one is...More about that one later.

But Omega has made some really pretty limited Speedmasters too.
When we go LE or grail mode then it should be something outrageous special. I love precious metals since its so contrasting to the tool-watch characteristics of the stainless steel standard work horse Speedmaster. Btw I would not mind if these pieces would be non LE. Imho the pricing makes these watches automatically rare enough, but i don't know the exact production numbers of precious metal Speedmasters.

1 Moonshine Gold 50th-perfection 310.60.42.50.99.001, the old school LE remastered. Its like the original but then way better. Love the perfect glass case-back, the terrific movement and the full gold non hollow bracelet.
2 Apollo XI 1980 white gold BA 345.0802 cause of the white gold bracelet and without fugly engravings on case-band. This would be great for a re-edition, check some cues above, that would be puuuuurfect.
3 Apollo X1 25th Anniversary Skeleton and Diamonds with platinum and diamond bracelet 3098.30 as a daily beater since I prefer to fly under the radar. Anyhow bring back the platinum bracelet, we need to build some muscle for heaven's sake!

i also would like to add my wishlist. This could be another thread. Is this already a thread? Hope the boys and girls in Biel are listening!

Wishlist:
1-black radial dial Alaska III with the amazing serif fonts should be a non LE, would be really successful. As an idea inspired by the original prototype which would be funny if they would put an automatic version of the new 3861 caliber in it. They also tested the 78 version with tuning fork chronograph movement cal 1255 and the automatic movement cal 1045. And yes i know an automatic movement doesn't make sense in space but it does for some while desk diving. Not sure about what extra they should do on top of it to not make a simple re-edition of the original but i just love the radial dial and they should bring it back all black since i even prefer it above the standard professional dial.
2-blue soleil sunburst, most beautiful Speedmaster ever made? Should be a non LE, would be really successful
3- tin tin with the original supposed to be Tin Tin on the case-back. The Tin Tin without the case-back is a bit strange to me. I think they are cool, but without the original designed case-back that watch makes not much sense to me. Come on Omega just close a deal with the Herge heirlooms! I want that watch so bad with the frikking red and white rocket as a case..

I dont count the Apollo8 as a limited edition. Reakly difficult as they are all so collectible and special in their own way but for me the two Japanese Speedmasters developed 2003 and 2004 are tops.

1) Speedmaster Mitsukoshi/ Japanese racing Dial
2) speedmaster ultraman (2018)
3) Speedmaster apollo 17 45th.

I'm not a fan of any of the more extravagant Speedmasters (or watches in general for that matter), so for me it would be:

1) Speedy Tuesday
2) Tokyo Olympics 2020
3) Snoopy 45th anniversary

1. Apollo 8
2. Moonshine gold Apollo 11 50th
3. Gold apollo 17 45th

If Omega made a standard issue speedy professional with a yellow gold case I would buy it in an instant.
