    Hi everyone,

I'm hoping you guys can clarify something for me. Both the 2500 and 8500 versions of the PO had liquid metal and titanium limited editions. but all recent models that contain the 8800 and 8900 have liquid metal in their bezel right?so what you're missing out on when you buy a new model is the titanium (unless you go for the titanium version) and the red seamaster logo?

    Thanks!

There are 3 generations of Planet Oceans.

All liquid metal is, is the name for ceramic bezels. I believe currently the third generation uses it in all. The 2nd gen had at least one.

Titanium refers to the case. I can’t think of any Planet Oceans in titanium except for one 2nd generation model.

Gen 1 PO: Only the Limited Edition model had LM, the rest had aluminum
Gen 2 PO: Titanium models and GMT PO had LM, the rest had ceramic
Gen 3 PO: LM is standard
