??? it is a known variation of the Seamaster 30 dials, could you tell me why you think it is refinished ?? It is difficult to take god pictures of the dial, but i see no sign of it is refinished.
I don't know the name for this design, but could be described as a guilloche dial that has a cross-hatched patterning? Looks original to me.
Did I say I think it's refinished? The " experts" on WUS probably would because they can't find it on the vintage database.
I like this textured pattern. I owned one in the past, but it had been refinished so I sold it as such.
There are many watches missing on the vintage database. The dial looks original to me, some sort of linen dial, I have seem lots of this kind of dial over the years. Cheers Martin
I think this is linen, pattern up and down as opposed to diagonal. I'd take guilloche or waffle for the one in the OP.
Very cool. I've never seen one in that color! I used to own a similar SM30 with the white waffle texture.
I was told here the hands were wrong on mine for an SM30 and the catalogue seems to agree..Still love it more like this with Dauphine hands..
I would call it fine linen. Like a bespoke suit should look, not flashy, but elegant, and you can wear it anywhere.
Omega refers to a 'lozenge' pattern on their website, but I seem to recall the term 'Florentine' associated with them. [photo credit: Dr No / watch credit: LA OB] Art
