Limited Edition ultrathin Cal 712 Constellation?

Hi all, newbie here and first post!

I recently picked up a Constellation (Cal 712, Case 167.0021) but on a very unusual Milanese bracelet, never seen one like it before or after extensive research. Serial 2708xxxx dates this to 1968 (possibly through to 1970 as I have read about non-sequential use of movements?). I'm loving it and my trusty Seikos get overlooked a lot more now.

On the Omega Constellations Collectors Blog there's a reference to a BC7 7262 Limited Edition Constellation w/Woven Milanese bracelet but that's the right bracelet but wrong watch (see p3 & p6 of this PDF).

I've posted and emailed but not heard back so thought I'd open it up to a broader knowledge base here. Anyone know exactly what I have here? (Hopefully photos appear as not showing on the preview.)

Thanks guys,
F

The watch was probably not fitted with that bracelet, if any, from factory. Most likely the first owner bought that combo from a selection of bracelets at the store, (or somebody else changed it in the 50 years passing?).

Oh, makes sense. Still, seems quite an unusual bracelet about which I cannot find much info. Thanks Vicke.

As noted by Vicke, bracelets were typically sold as accessories at the point of purchase. On the watch you reference the bracelet is an integral part of the watch case.

Can you post a photo of the underside of the clasp?

712s are a bit late for me and I know nothing about any special editions, but that really is a lovely watch.

Desmond who runs the CC blog is generally pretty good at getting back to collectors so he's probably busy with other stuff, away on holiday, or whatever.

Here you go, no special or identifying marks (to me) and only a marking saying 19mm up at the lug end. Any use?

Thanks @Edward53, this wasn't the model I was after but it's grown on me so much it might be a keeper! Damnit!

I have a 1966 gold cap version of this ultra-thin connie. Nice little watch, and i think its the small 33mm size that holds these back with collectors a tad

BTW presume you have read Desmonds essay on these ultra-thins - some funky bracelets on show there ( and not too disimilar to yours) ?

Hi, I’ve small enough wrists to enjoy it, lucky me! I have it on a vintage style leather for daily wear as the bracelet feels a bit too jewellery, too dressy.

Also yes, I’ve read most everything relevant from that site, and there was only one bracelet (which I referenced in my initial post) that seems the same, albeit integrated.

Nice looking watch! Mine says hello 😀
Nice. But those index markers are gold (?) with onyx and that seconds hand is steel? Is that hand replaced? Mine is a bit battered and I’m guessing SS but painted black? Nice looking on the leather!
