So aside from the Speedy Moonwatch, and a few PAM's I know of... What other modern watches use plexi/plastic crystals?
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Chronograph does... at least the "vintage" line; probably extends to their Tribute to Deep Sea Alarm & Polaris models too @Livesimply11 ?
Wow, that piece looks great. Yeah I can see the tribute and heritage remakes using Plexi, just don't know of many
Not plexi, but the domed sapphire on the Oris Sixty-Five 42mm definitely has the look. My favorite release at Baselworld this year.
Yep, the Tribute to Deep Sea has plexi. Had the chance to see it for the first time last week and I think it has now become a bit of a Grail for me!
I have always liked the sixty-five a lot. These look really nice, especially the bracelet option too. That was never released for the sixty-five before I don't think.
If we're talking domed sapphire as well, I think that TAG Heuer Carrera Telemeter heritage piece from last year has one, too
You'd probably know better than I would, I just figured it would be plexi since it's in the same family
I'm partial to them, too. They released the steel bracelet for last year's 40mm in the last few months. It's got the old school rivets and a big taper. Really nice offering. I've seen plenty of domed sapphire but Oris really nailed the vintage plexi look, unlike the Speedmaster pro sapphire, in my opinion.
