Can anyone recommend the best fountain pen forum/discussion board? In particular with a good FS section?

These were given to me by my wife as a present for completing my Ph.D a few years back. They are very valuable to me, as you will understand.

Grails are financially easier to obtain with pens than watches.

2mm lead holders, a lot of them but the most used are the rotring rapid pro and the staedler mars technico.
From pens (even though i've tried every other option) what works for me are rollerballs.
What i currently use daily is the lamy aion rollerball.

The Steadler brings back some memories...I probably still have mine tucked away somewhere with all my old manual drafting equipment (I still have a drafting table too). I went from drawing on paper with those to drawing on plastic "velum" with a click feed mechanical pencil and 0.7 lead that was impregnated with something to make it transfer well to the velum. But that also make it snap really easily - had broken lead fly up into my eye more times than I care to remember...then of course...CAD! 馃榾

That is living dangerously 馃榿
I actually have 3 of them in fear that i might not be able to find one in the future or they change the design. its not an expensive lead holder but for me it may be the best one out there.

Yeah...who knew that drafting could be such a high risk activity! 馃榾

How many lead sharpeners do you have? Not sure if I have a sharpener or not...my old pencil would be pretty useless without it I guess...

I rotate my Parkers.

The great advantage of the 51 mechanical 'clutch' pencil (with the concentric rings at the 'sharp end') is that you can single-handedly extend the lead by pressing the top with your thumb whereas (well-known drafting word 馃槈 ) with the 61 pencil, you need two hands - one to hold and the other to twist.

Henry Simpole William Morris pen no1 of 25 and the only one made in this colour.
If you love pens it's worth checking out Henry's work .He's a charming guy and makes them all by hand

I buy every time i find one in a store but they don't last long. i usually lose them within a week.
The only one that i manage not to lose is the one i have at my office at home, which is the staedtler mars 502.
You can always use the cap of the pencil. there is a sharpener in the hole. not the best one but it will do the job
