Great Masterpiece, Can you post pictures of that Hamilton PW?

Its not a Masterpiece, "just" a 922 from about 1928. I've dug into it and the only difference between a Masterpiece and this 922 is the case.
The Masterpiece would be solid gold or platinum, the 922's is only gold filled. The movement would be marked "Masterpiece" but that is the only change from the standard 922, its still a 23 jewel, motor barrel, 8 adjustment, gold train, white gold washed movement..... even the face is white gold over a solid silver base with yellow gold furniture (what the hell were they thinking!) So..... go find yourself a Hamilton 922 for well under $500, you'll not beat the quality anywhere.

I am not a fan of pocket watches but this one looks amazing.

Certainly not expensive or valuable, but when you make your own, at least you know someone else won't have one like it. (Would have photographed with my Omega but I only have one and my watchmaker has it right now)
Cheers, Jimos

Thank you for posting your 922, I think Hamilton was at their zenith with this grade.

Hamilton Masterpiece says it all.
Mine:
18kt hand carved, heavy gold case, solid gold train, solid gold hands, Sterling Silver dial, 18kt sold gold applied numerals. Hand selected, finest machined parts, finished and timed by Hamilton's best craftsmen. What's not to like?

My writing tool at work.

If I lose it I don't panic, just get another from the box.

Both are no longer in my possession, but I did enjoy them a lot when they were with me:

Hmm. Seems NOS. Fonts look correct, has the original sharpening chambers clearly visible and I'm sure the movement is ok. Did you get given it by an uncle?

Strange thing is, if I get a nice quality ballpoint or fine tip from the stationary locker, it's usually gone in a day or two. I either seem to leave them on desks or in meeting rooms (or others appropriate them 😒) but the good old pencil seems to last forever.

And other than a quality nib / fountain pen, I find it nicer to write/draw with a pencil (HB preferred, 2B for quick mud maps).

Hijak, nice flieger, I love it.
If you ever think of dropping it out of your collection, please let me know.
The strap looks like one I have, a Hirsch Duke. It fits fine with the brown cream dial.

I have the same problem. Well, usually there are not missing things from my desk but I am always afraid of losing something that I love.

I'll assume you're calling dibs...will do but this could be quite a while...just picked this up from Al (Archer) not too long ago with a fresh service from him.
