My Enicar has no inner. Actually this is two watches as the dial does not fit inside the case.

I spent the last few days resorting through my watches and parts looking for more of these. I love this dial, even though the side is stained (probably from a fingerprint.) The photo does not do the engine turning and embossing justice.

I take it that Enicar used custom branded movements. Since I was sorting movements and plates I looked for ones marked <AR> No luck. I did sort many of the AS movements and plates into a separate box.

The question is what movement should I be looking for? The dial feet seem to be at 11 and 5:30 and are 19mm apart. The dial is about 27mm. Case opening is more for a 11 Ligne movement (24mm) Not sure this would be a correct core, but the screwback fits.

Just pulled the switch on this one. Fills a gap in my collection. I have been watching it all week. Little ladies movement. Probably paid to much, but someone else was willing to pay a dollar less.

Does not solve the problem of the case and dial parts I already have. Not really a fan of gilt cases or automatic dates. It is more about the chase. These do not show up on Goodwill often. Not sure I have ever seen another listed.

The best thing about this is it kept me from bidding on other auctions.

Now I have to wait for it to arrive.

Maybe its better to post your requests at enicarforums.com guys 😀

my latest aquisitions:

First, one of the probably oldest Enciar Automatic watches. It has a AS 1250 Bumper movement and runs like a charme.

Second is a 40mm Sherpa Diver 600 with bakelite bezel. I like the wabi sabi look a lot. True Toolwatch 😁

And last is a one of a kind watch. A Pre Production Sherpa Star Diver. Allready with saphire crystal in 1968/69 and a huge 43mm case. The dial was a test dial and didnt made it into the later production model.

Whats your favourite of these three?

Nico

That star diver prototype is so cool, it's a wonder that no one has replicated the design/colorway in a neo vintage / vintage inspired watch. Probably so scarce no one has seen one to copy it.
