Not much remains of the sunset, but still one of my favourite photos. The iconic Santa Monica Pier is at centre stage, and the planet Mercury sneaks into the scene in the upper left-hand corner.

An oldie and i'll make it the last from me, quality is poor but although it was a long time ago I remember the evening as if it was yesterday.

I was just there on the same pier.....your photos are much better!

I have neighbors who take cellphone photos there, and I'm often jealous of the pictures they get. Over a period of days or weeks, the light and clouds change a lot, so it's like a different scene all the time.

Nice, very 2001!

Thanks! It was a very rewarding shot, especially after holding the watch and monolith action figure while trying to photograph each, respectively.
