Anyone taking any good photographs of the eclipse at this point? I'm not. Pointing a silly little digital camera at the moon with no tripod netted not much at all. In actuality about a third of the moon was obscured. It's currently 22:15 Oh well. The red hue was interesting if the photo was poor. Time was 23:13
Sunset over the Marin Headlands, San Francisco CA. (Yes, I was wearing an Omega at the time this photograph was taken)
Just returned from a trip to Australia, so here's a few from the journey... Melbourne, leaving the Aussie Open and walking back to the hotel... Adelaide at the beach... Port Adelaide a couple of days later at a concert, with the Hoodoo Gurus on stage... Heading home, just after take off from Tullamarine...
Australia above looks great. That’s my destination for a few weeks next winter. Meanwhile in the northern hemisphere and winter... Sunset last night on Mt. Denali (20 thousand plus ft.). Mt. Brooks to the right at 16,000 ft. I’m located at approximately 3500 ft. And looking the opposite direction there are some nice pastel colors to the sky. Winter camping. Woke up to sunrise this morning ... 20 below F, but got to positive 15 this afternoon. And my Seamaster 120 is keeping me company. We have the snow machine to get out a ways but then it is parked so we can use the skis and snowshoes. Our dog team is not on this weekend excursion but will be next week. Here’s my snowshoe trail from a side trip. It’s amazing that I have cell coverage out here!
