No, the name etched on the back was 'Col. Edwin Aldbin' I think.
Yes you are right - 105.012-65 - nice detective work!

Here it is after a full service and new crystal/seals. I left everything else as it was. It seemed a shame to relume the hands, although a decent old set would be nice to find. The case was excellent so I didn't have it polished at all. A great one to wear.

Interesting band.... Very similar to the real champion mesh in some ways. I like the watch... Your posts gave the impression you did the work. Is that so? How many of you can service a 321?

The band is JB champion, but without the 'horn' ends. Sorry to give the impression that I serviced it - no way! I'm not that patient, I limit my watchmaking to removing hands, dials, crystals, seals etc... oh and occasionally mange to get them back on too.

I have had dozens of watches in my hands recently that spent twenty to thirty years in a safe away from daylight. They have all developed a lovely patina. The tritium is no longer white on any of them, not that I mind that. This, of course, doesn't rule out the fact that others may remain white. Maybe humidity, oxygen or just luck play a role.

Ash, I just realized you noted earlier that you do not have a Speedmaster Pro, but you have the 105.012 in this thread...the one that went from sow's ear to silk purse. Are you not counting it because it is too worn? If you want to part with it, I might be interested. As I've noted before, I like watches that show use. I would, however, re lum those hands.

Well, case isn't perfect but I may be able to do something about that, bezel is as close to mint as an original '67 bezel can be gotten, and hands need changing but I got my Speedmaster...

So time to revive this thread!
