Three???? J, I think you have at least one too many
Did someone call for a Tissot 23.3R-21 in a Lemania-only thread?
I feel compelled to oblige!
I now return you to your regularly scheduled thread...
This is the only Llama I have, has a bit of patina.
Get in line!
Arrived in a gp case and thanks to a certain gentleman of this forum a steel case was provided and this is the result -
And about half way on the second page the thread usually goes...
It is tradition. A nice one.
Stunning-- always loved the second one . What's the name of the first model on topl? (I think some were called GMT and some "world timer"....
@marturx, Martin, your avatar picture also needs to come out of quarantine, that tropical dial on your Tg195 also belongs in this thread!! (and by the way, what's the name of the watch you're trying to get? I think I've seen it before).
If one add up the "in house" Lemania watches with all vintage Omega and Tissot chronographs from 1930 and onwards, then throw in the Omega cal 381 Cosmic and cal 920 Memomatic on top, sprinkle it with some Heuer, Meylan, Breitling, Ebel and other obscurities we may ask the question:
How many of the collectors on this forum, owning more than a dozen or so vintage watches, does not actually own minimum one that has a Lemania sourced movement?
I purposely avoided some of the more exotic names that based their chronographs on the Lemania 23xx.
Creating a thread for people to post their Non-Lemania branded but Lemania based watches might be an idea.
marturx probably know a lot more than me about that watch but I believe there has been some controversy about its origin. As there are no other known watches like it some people here in Sweden has deemed it franken. There is a story behind how it might have come to be (not franken - but real) and I guess it all comes down to probability. When it first showed up I believe it was in a context that would make it unlikely to have been faked. But as I wrote - marturx probably know the story - and if he wants the watch I do believe it is bona fide.
You edited out our your initial comment, so it looks like you changed your mind!
Okay, I'll say DIBS on J Luc's 5012 and Martin's Tg195!! You can have J's Viggens.
Viggen or bust!
Oh, what I could do with that sentence...(!) and with pictures. But the rules forbid me.
Looks like being a "Lemaniac" is not the worse virus one can catch here... (Are you trying to farm "likes" again?).
Cannot farm anymore. I am restricted to showing only watches for a while. But only sideways.
Is that penance for yesterday's...uh ....illustrations?
And please scroll down for the full picture.
Now I finally seem to understand why "full frontal" watch pictures seems to be a subject of a joke. In French we'd say you guys are "serious cases".
Edit- but I must admit your penance and the "date at six" thing really made me laugh.
Not only in French.
Well in English they also say "boys will be boys"...
Separate names with a comma.
