So need advice once again. Does anyone know a good reliable source to service a lemania 5100? my Paul picot le chronogragh fell off my bed onto laminate flooring and it completely stopped working. My local watchmaker some how doesn't know anything about this movement. Thanks

Not to sound like a smart ass, but I'd look for another watchmaker if they can't work on a 5100. One of the more common automatic chrono mvts out there.

I agree, he's not after telling me that he didn't know. I did my research an like you said it's the most used mvts in chronogragh watches. I called the brands service center an they want way to much money to just look at it so I'm kind of in a shitty spot right now. I want to find a in house watchmaker that wont have to send my watch out to be fixed.

Are you sure it has a Lemania 5100? Because that dial layout looks like a Valjoux 7750. A Lemania 5100 wouldn’t have a minutes subdial and there would be 2 central hands - one a seconds counter and one a minutes counter.

It's not a Lemania 5100. Simple valjoux 7750. Lemania has 24 hour counter at 12 O' clock. Easy for every watchmaker. Kind regards. Achim

Valjoux 7750? Based on the movement shot, it looks like there's a base 2892, which suggests that the chrono function is a module?

Thank you for the knowledge I was told it was a lemania. I cant tell the difference based off looking at it. Much appreciated.

Yeah I don't know the difference. I was told it was a lemania by the dealer on chrono24 that sold the watch to me. He obviously doesn't know the difference either. Kinda sucks I feel like I've been ripped off by him.

What's the difference? Is that a even more common movement?

I’m a big fan of the Lemania 5100. Just something about the watches it was in and it’s utilitarian design. You easiest clue is the 24 hour counter up top as mentioned by “watchyouwant”. As it has something of a following it would be worth more than if it’s powered by a 7750 or a 2892-2 (which would be my guess). So it’s quite right to feel aggrieved.

Yes, definitely a modular chronograph, so not a 5100 or 7750 based...

Not unusual at all that a watchmaker would turn this away...

Thanks, Al, for verifying this. Just as a note, I was googling Lemania 5100 watch yesterday and saw numerous examples on Chrono24 and Ebay advertised as Lemania 5100 watches which were clearly NOT Lemania 5100 watches. This is another example when buyers need to do their homework or they'll get taken. I doubt the sellers are doing this unintentionally.

Yeah I really should have done my homework I'm really disappointed with this whole situation. when I received the watch the crown wouldn't wind the watch or set the time but date function worked. the seller is supposed to be a "watch expert" hes swearing its a lemania.

Here’s a Paul Picot with a 5100 from the sales forum here.

    https://omegaforums.net/threads/paul-picot-u-boat-with-lemania-5100-price-drop-obro.75658/

How on earth does that look anything like yours ? I’m pretty sure the rotor on the 5100 always looked like that too (with that characteristic long slot near the pivot). Also are you pushers on the same plane as the crown ? I think they’re offset lower on yours which means it can’t be a 5100.

Edit to add. You should send a link of this thread to your seller, and ask him to join and discuss the movement here.

Were you able to get it fixed?
Did you have to pay for servicing? (The seller's page suggests some sort of warranty).
