2254 on a Hirsch guttaperka strap, its a bit leather like and a bit more formal than rubber.

Thats cleverly discreet!

Black on black, like it 😎

Not sure if that black strap would work with my blue Bezel, I'll ask the missus

Also not sure if a blue strap in the same style would work - too shouty?

Mine lives on a gloss navy leather nato/zulu with four chrome rings; there'll be a photo in here any time soon.

Hi Tikka,

There seems to be sooo many styles one can do, its greats 😎

If its ok, same questions to you, seeing as your strap is clearly going straight through, all one piece and goes under the watch.
How does it wear for you?
Does the watch happily sit proud with no wobbles, or sags?
Or do the 4 lug arms of the casing dig into your wrist if tightened too much?

Not sure I'd be able to live with the loops - I'd forever be catching things on them - But I like the 'straight through' concept.

Hi All,

My 1st post here, hello!

As per the photo below, it can look pretty nice!

Has anyone tried it? I have not exhaustively looked at Omega's website, but I couldn't find a matching strap for my watch. It a mid sized version of the 2541.80.00 - The 1st Sea Master worn by Mr Brosnan in his run as 007.

If not omega, has anyone found a good brand that has a nice 'in keeping' fit?
I'd plum for a classic shiny black colour, with the same rounded contours and stitching as the below picture.

Hope you an help

Try Artem sailcloth:

https://artemstraps.com/

They have a strap in Navy that would go with the color of the Bond Seamaster quite nicely. Or you could opt for black. Cloth with a rubber backing, no leather, so quite appropriate for a dive watch.

It’s the best sailcloth-style strap I have ever found.

Hi Donn,

Many thanks for the link, much appreciated.

It's a shame the below pictured is only 19mm upwards. My midsized Seamaster is 18mm.

The only option for 18mm is the 'loop-less' design, which seems a bit fiddly, and lacks the pleasing look of the conventional buckle.

In person though, does that 'loop less' design work ok visually for a dress watch?

I imagine for actual swimming its quite good! (Which I won't be using it for in my case though.)

Hope you can advise.

Best wishes

Even though I don't get my vintage dive watches wet, I agree that I feel funny wearing them on leather straps, with the possible exception of stingray which is just too much fun to pass up.

Ok...Pics of a vintage dive watch on a stingray strap? You can't just drop a comment like that and run...!

Debatable whether this is a dive watch or not, but definitely meant for the water.

Hi Mr W,

Sigh, my 1st choice strap has big question marks over it.... the quest goes on for another strap / another style.

I kinda like your strap there.

Is the strap straight through, all one piece and goes under the watch?

How does it wear for you?
Does the watch happily sit proud with no wobbles?
Or do the 4 lug arms of the casing dig into your wrist if tightened too much?

Interesting concept!

Hey Martin
1. It’s a single pass strap, yes. Goes under in one piece and the tang of the buckle just nuzzles its way between the weave. Genius.
2. Very comfortable, no wobble, no digging.

I have also used a “Perlon NATO” in black that also worked well:

Plenty of 18mm options on the midsize - and I have a 20mm blue sailcloth and black Perlon for my full-size Bond if I ever take it off the bracelet.

One advantage of Perlon straps is that they are very cheap, so you can try a few combos and use any that don’t work as summer options on other watches.

Happy experimenting!

Two options I frequently reach for:

- Di Modell black sharkskin leather strap; lovely and substantial feeling. Also water resistant, which is a great bonus for a leather strap.

- Isofrane in dark blue - matches pretty much perfectly IMO. Great quality.

I think on leather these look fantastic (even nicer on a green erikas original strap).

If one does a bracelet, go for a tapered mesh one, a great alternative.

Sorry. Didn’t realize you had the mid-size. You might be able to fit the 19mm strap by squeezing it in. I’ve fit a 20mm strap onto 19mm lugs before.
