Just found this and had to buy it.
Amazing condition for the year.
All original as far as I can see, down to the naiad flat foot crown and “narrow omega” stamped crystal.
Comments welcome.

Nice going. I prefer to have a date myself, but I would not turn my nose up at this one.

WOW! This is how I love to find the watches. Conditions conditions conditions! Even the wristcheese is from 1964. The is luminous 12 is the cherry on the cake.
Do you have a front picture under the light?

Great find! Anyone know how rare the luminous 12 marker is? and reason for the other numerical markers not being lumed?

This is why I love this forum. Never knew this dial variant existed. Any idea why they lumed the 12? Mistake? A special batch?

I had one many moons ago with the lume 12
Interesting. Don’t think mine is gilt.
I could never decide whether SM 300 gilt script was age or factory.
I’ll check closely in daylight tomorrow.

Some guy was probably in the luming-zone and didn’t get the memo for a few days 😀

Certainly looks yellow/gilt here.
I’m loving it more each minute!

What a stunning watch, congratulations on both the find and the purchase! I love the bezel typeface on the -64 with the long '3' and boxy '4'...so much character. And to me, there's a purity to the design of the 12-3-6-9 dial and baton hands that is completely different from the sword/BT configuration. If you don't mind, I too was smitten by a 165.024-64, even with its fuzzy appearance (ok part of it is the crappy phone pic, but the original crystal was pretty scratched up) but the price was too dear given the condition IMO. I still think about it almost every day...

Wear yours in good health!
