Thanks guys :) I'll soon have it serviced + have the scratch on the lid polished. I can barely feel it with a nail, so it cant be deep.... I'd like to clean the bracelet - is there an easy way to do that? Ultrasonic machine maybe?

Call me crazy or just frugal, but remove the bracelet from the head, take out the pins, spread it out on the top rack of your dishwasher and run it thru with your next batch of dirty dishes. This really works well ;-)

Well. thats one way to do it - I'll keep that on mind :) Does everyone else just do it manually? Noone tried the ultrasonic method?

    Thanks.

I have a small ultrasonic cleaner I use for bracelets. Works really well with a little washing up liquid and water. The last bracelet I put in there actually looked wrecked going in; you could see the dirt exploding off it and came out looking near mint.

    WHAT?????

I thought I was the only one that did that :D

I fit safety pins through the end links on each end and hang the bracelet on the top rack on the prongy bits. It does a super job on old Spiedels and stainless bracelets, not sure about gold plated ones though, haven't been game enough to try them yet.

I also used the dishwasher to clean motor bike parts and spanners etc after fixing my bikes. Maybe that's why my ex divorced me
