I was visiting Italy last week and I found this Speedmaster in a little shop... it was unexpected ! I think all parts are original.

    Very nice, great condition.

Was it a vintage watch shop or a random little jewellers or something?

Please tell me about the color of the Chrono Sweep, only because I've not seen that on others. I certainly don't know enought to say it not original, only unusual, at least to me.

Regardless it's a wonderful find...Wear in good health!

It was a vintage watch shop in Venice.
It's not the first time I see a second hand with an orange patina. According to Moonwatch Only, it's a normal evolution of the luminous material.

@Pianist, it's such a nice watch, I think you should sell me that 2998 dial you picked up not long ago. Fair?

    Wow, nice one!
I've only ever been to Italy on holiday, so I don't visit the watch sellers. That way I avoid temptation and, sadly, opportunities like this!
    Congratulations on a beautiful example.

Nice catch, even though the lower left lug looks quite polished down compared to the others. Dial and hands more than make up for it though!

    Thanks :)
The caseback is marked "SP" (Spécial Poussoirs), which means it's a special version with a better water resistance.

I don't know. According to MO, the improvements are not visible.

Isn't it changes to the pushers? Different seals + screw fit. Introduced with the new 145.012
