Large black Omega watch - any value?

Hello respectable members of this forum,

I have inherited a large Omega with black face from my grandfather´s uncle and am seeking for advise.

It has large "dots" on the dial. I always thought they should glow in the dark as I have seen on other watches, but on my watch they do not glow in the dark anymore, they seem dead.

And there is a peculiar round "thing" on top of one movement part which looks like a neck of a goose and has a small screw to it - what is this good for?

Currently I cannot wear the watch because it has no belt. Can I remove this part when I want to put a leather belt on the watch?

Is this watch of any value? I ask because I want to insure it properly.

Any help and guidance is much appreciated.

Thank you in advance and kind regards

It was suspicious from the get-go, simply changing the species of bird isnt enough to disguise a bit of knowledge 😉

Thank you all for your knowledge but most of you missed my question.

Does it have any value?

Which watch is it actually? there are 3 important hints in the photos...

@Kyle you are not allowed to answer here.

I feel like a passerby at a family reunion in a public park, but can I guess anyway? It's an Omega! What did I win?

Your insurance agent will be happy to help.
Yes, movement is the correct term for all the stuff inside, how did you know?

The dots form an occult pattern and will summon evil spirits if you squeeze the goose neck. Please send the watch to me immediately so that I can cleanse it of evil

The "neck of a goose" is a Reed's Regulator, it's used to speed up or slow down the watch by changing the effective length of the hairspring.

You are lucky to have one in such good condition, they are often broken (no goose neck), missing the adjusting screw, or missing completely with only two holes in the cock to indicate where it used to live.

The OXG stamp is also interesting when I look at all of the other pictures, but it's a puzzle beyond my capability.

PS: Did you happen to notice of there is an unusual case maker's stamp inside the lid that fits to the back of the watch?

Thank you Jim,

The case maker is Huguenin Frères & Cie (HF) - see photo.

Nobody has identified the watch so far although all the information can be found in the 3 photos which were initially posted...
