    Hi everybody.

My wife's watch keeps losing EXACTLY one hour! All the obvious stuff I've ruled out (loose crown, low battery), and still it loses one hour
(usually 24 or 48 hours after I've corrected it). Are there any kind known issues with this watch/movement?

It has not been serviced since purchased - but surely it's unlikely to be because of that?

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Marty

I believe that position 2 for the crown is the same as a 1538, where the hour hand moves in 1 hour increments, so you have to run that hour hand around the dial to semi-quick change the date. If that's the case, then the hour wheel has failed - fairly common with this design, and service or movement swap is needed.

    Cheers, Al

Well - I have plenty of other watches (some high end, some cheap) which don't start losing hours as a result of not being serviced. I can understand poor time keeping as a result of not being serviced - but losing an entire hour? It's unlikely I'd say......
