I wouldn't really worry about anything Kevin O'Leary says, he's the posterchild for what a paid shill looks like. I'm not saying he can't be right at times, but it's just not worth it to take anything he says as data at all.

If you haven't watched the video, a watch dealer says that Omega watches are extremely popular. Kevin says it's because they are "affordable" and "entry level" and that the seamaster is an "entry level watch you don't need to be embarrassed to wear."

I thought that was a ridiculous thing to say.

Having said that I did quite enjoy the videos Kevin and Teddy Baldassore did together. They have a certain watchable chemistry together.

Will probably regret admitting to that...

I enjoyed them as well. I think folks here give too much weight to what Kevin says. I take him for what he is: a bragger, promotor, entertainer, and a bullsh**er. He plays up the BS for the camera.

I couldn't care less that he called Omega "entry level" and "affordable."

It's amazing how people can read a thread so differently. I don't think anyone here is "giving" any "weight" to what Kevin says. In fact, they are pretty much all saying he's completely wrong.

Haha I find it hilarious how this bothers you all so much. Omega is my favourite brand, I also would call it an entry level brand as far as price is concerned. But I do only deal in the second hand market. I wouldn't care less that he says they're entry, or that Rolex is better or whatever, we can disagree with him if we want, that's the beauty of opinion - everyone can have a different one and there is no reason to be triggered by someone else's opinion if it doesn't align with our own. We have our own desires and wants and you should take the video for what it was intended a little light entertainment and nothing more.

In order to be categorised as entertainment……first it must be entertaining…….verbal diarrhoea gushing from some rich celebrity knobend deserves all the contempt that can be dumped upon them.
It not about disagreeing with the stupid things they say, it’s about how they make money from spouting utter drivel and influencing the feeble minded morons that listen to them.
To not pour scorn upon them is only going to encourage more utter fuckwits to emulate them.

I could only take half the video but he did say omega remains one of his favorites. I don’t know how this guy became an expert on everything I seem to be seeing him a lot lately.

Yes, and all we are doing is expressing it. Why certain people keep trying to make it that we are all upset, giving weight, or triggered by this is puzzling. We are all just talking about a douche - the worst thing he does is exist. If people want to lick his boots, that's fine too...

All I need to see are the words “Kevin O’ Leary says…” and I know it’ll be a load of arrogant, self-aggrandizing, promotional horseshit trumpeted by a carnival barker. Am I upset by what he says? Fack no. Al’s bang on: O’ Leary’s existence is enough to make my skin crawl. ‘Douche’ is too generous. I’m going with ‘asshole’.

(I’d never want to go boating, or be on the same lake, with him and his wife, either. Unless, like them, I could afford an exceptional lawyer. OK, I’ll leave now).

But isn’t the fact that you are not being neutral in your use of language suggest that you are triggered. If it meant nothing to you wouldn’t be talking about it. I talk a lot about things I love and a lot about things I hate, rarely do I talk about things that are neither here nor there as it doesn’t entertain me to do so or provide me any emotional comfort either.
