I thought I would share this video with you in case you didn't have time to get a pair of eclipse glasses. This looks like a pretty cool way of doing it and there's a little watch bonus in the video.

I need to travel a few miles north for the totality on Monday. The Missus and I are taking some friends up into South Carolina near Columbia.

I'll post a picture if I get a decent one.

Okie, dokie.

We traveled up to St. Matthews, SC and got really, really lucky as far as weather. It was mostly cloudy until the critical minutes before the eclipse but it was PERFECT when it counted!

I think I blew the focus a bit but I'm stilled thrilled with the memory at least. I can assure you a 95% partial eclipse is nowhere near totality. It's like being 95% of the way to getting laid...


I got a little internal lens flare on the "diamond ring".

A totally awesome thing to see.
