Hello everybody,

I own a SpeedyTuesday Ultraman and a normal Speedmaster Prof. too. Most of the time I wear the normal Moonwatch or my Seamaster.
I am really unsure if I keep the Ultrman or if I sell it and will have a look what will come this year with Cal. 321.

I don´t will sell the normal Speedmaster, because it´s from the birthyear of my son. ;-)

Looking forward to your thoughts about it?

Best

Alex

If you don't like/wear it, sell it.

If you do like/wear it, keep it.

You can still wait for pictures of the 321 and decide then.

If it is in good condition you probably will be able to sell your ST2 once the 321 is out if you want to chase that.

I have the ST2 Ultraman as well, and for a long time had my doubts. Mainly because in low light it's a bit hard to read. But after putting it on a custom strap I really started liking it. Also because the warm colour scheme works well with autumn and winter dress code ;-).
A thing that works with me as well, is putting it away for a few weeks or even months. When I take the watch out of the box again and it "sparks a joy" it's a keeper. It's a difficult thing, as I don't like some of the watches in my collection during winter time while they they get the most wrist time during the summer.

I never can understand people asking if they should keep or sell a watch. That's like asking whether they should marry a blonde or brunette. Choose what you like, not what strangers like.

That sounds like a good idea. 😀

I like the watch I am unsure if I like it enough. The wife could chance the hair colour. That´s the easiest way 😉

True, keep versus sell is a binary decision but apparently you can marry the blonde AND the brunette in some lands. 😉
And how can you sell this face?

can always ask for them to "redial", if you're lucky they will care what you like and not just what strangers like...

I’ve been in a self debate on selling my Ultraman as well, especially for the Apollo 11 50th. Right now the Ultraman is still in the collection, being babied, I only wear it at home just to keep it like new. But I am waiting to see what is in store for the 50th before I make the decision. Knowing myself, I’d end up keeping the Ultraman and then getting my 5th Speedy 😀

Like most, I actually grew fond of it once you play around with strap choices. It pairs well with most straps and the orange/red is subtle enough that it can fit most attire as well.

I think the very fact that you are posting this question means you want to justify selling it and want affirmation. Sell it.

The other way around would be : "Which watch will make more likes on Instagram?" 🤦

This is an excellent point. People
(exclude extreme narcissists) always want/need justification(s) for decisions they desire to make ..hence the “poll”..
Still it’s a valid way to gather data/ideas.

well if you don't like it anymore then sell it ofc - but If you hesitate because don't sure if it's the right time to sell (price will goes up or not) then I guess -no.

Perhaps you could trade the blonde in at Bridefinder.com for a younger model with a silicon bezel.
