It's legit. US-cased bumper automatic circa 1953. Based on the rotor rub, the movement could use some TLC.

I’d take it to a good independent watchmaker rather than a factory service, it’ll be a decent wearable watch afterwards but keep in mind that era of watch is not water resistant at all.

Thanks for your advice. The factory service Is a bit pricey. To be honest as long as it has sit in a desk drawer I'm surprised it still runs and keeps time.
