So i just won this auction of an 1958 omega caliber 320:)
    Honest opinions?
Havent seen hands like this before though. I think they look kind of cool but are they original?

    1) it appears to be gold plated, rather than solid gold, and hopefully was described as such

    2) judged by the hands, markers, and inside rim of the case, I would guess that it is pink, rather than yellow gold plate. If so, a light polish will bring the correct color out

I'll let others comment on other aspects of the watch.

Yes it is gold plated as issued.

I hope you have a great watchmaker that can handle the 320, it seems to have a bit of dirt/corrosion.
I would ask the experts to zoom in on the hairspring and make sure it's ok.

Even if it takes some work, I know that when cleaned up, these are beautiful watches.
    Good luck to you!

Congratulations on the purchase, it's a beautiful watch on the outside despite its apparent gold plating.

I like the dial and hands, but as said the watch does need a bit of a clean which I'm sure can be done. I'm sure you know that excessive polishing of the gold plating will cause it to wear off and possibly show off the base metal instead.

Plus the movement needs servicing most likely as despite its good looks, who knows what's going on inside.

Enjoy it and wear it in good health.

I’m no expert on these but I’m not sure about those hands.
I think the sweep hand should be slimmer and go all the way to the outer track and given the little alpha hands in the sub dials I think the hour/minute hands should most likely match.
    Here’s my 2872 320 for comparison.
It’s also a very pale 18k pink gold.

I'm far from an Omega chronograph specialist, but I've seen plenty and don't recall ever seeing the hand style on OPs watch on any Omega, so color me skeptical.

Subdial hands look legit for this reference, but I'm not sure about the hour/minute and chrono hand.

@Peemacgee I guess the line is pretty long on this one but DIBS if you should ever let this beauty go :).
