I bought a watch here and gave an awesome review to the seller within the week I received the item. Up till now I still haven't gotten a review from the seller, sent him a pm asking for a review and I haven't gotten any. In my opinion, sellers and buyers are ought to write reviews, positive or negative for the sake of the forum, it helps both for future sales or purchase as reference specially for new OF members. Here's another one for venting, I bought another watch here and my wire transfer cleared & everything went well as far as transaction is concerned, item ready to ship etc... How come the item is still showing FS, my opinion it should have been edited the moment the wire transfer has cleared. Just venting. Am I correct?
IMO you might be expecting too much. If you purchased from a retail jeweler or online store would you expect a review or rating as a customer?
I think you can chill out a little. its normal to write seller reviews, it's less common to get buyer reviews, unless specifically asked. And if you do, give people a little time, it's summer. Same thing goes for the FS listing, I do try to update quickly myself, but not everyone is the same......
Already been sold (by me), transfer cleared Friday morning and pm me he'll ship it on Monday. I asked why Monday and he said he is traveling for the weekend... I guess the money I paid will help him in his travel..business before pleasure!
This may sound slightly harsh, but this thread is more likely to negatively impact your ability to transact on forums than not getting a review from a seller.... And there is zero impact to you respecting an item still being listed as “FS”, so why would this bother you? The most significant downside I can foresee is the seller having to respond to unwanted additional PMs - again, nothing to do with you....
not everyone leaves reviews, my opinion is unacceptable. some sellers forget to edit title after sold, again my opinion unacceptable. it's not a huge deal, it is cuz it cost thousands!!!
Buyer & seller ratings are optional on both eBay and OF. Perhaps ask in advance for shipping time & details to avoid frustration in the future.
You’ve had multiple replies from a variety of different members; quite clearly nobody agrees with you. I’ll allow you to surmise whether that’s something to consider...
you build a reputation here by participating in the forum. It's understandable as a newbie to want to start building your feedback rep, but honestly, what's the big rush? The issue's you mention are not really affecting anyone significantly, in the short term. worst case scenario, someone really wants a watch, and they find out it's already been sold ? you might feel your opinion is "right", but good luck getting everyone to do it your way on the internet. It's saturday dude, chill out
