Well...considering this watch only "tells the time" and the watch is new model. I assume it was sent by Ben Whishaw. Lol.

The pistol however...is a neat bit of history. A unique year in the model made in 1977 because of how/where they stamped the date codes on that year.

Beautiful watch. I have the same and it’s certainly getting a lot of wrist time. Also have a Walther P99 pistol, amazing gun! As for the tux, it’s somewhere at the back of my wardrobe!

BTY, the original Walther given to JB when his .25acp Beretta failed, was a Walther PPK in 7.65mm (in the us the .32acp) not a PPK/S in .380acp.
Seriously, nice picture with a neat vibe.

Cute. Congrats on the new watch and the old Walther. Both excellent choices.

Indeed haha. It's close but no cigar. Just like his relationship with MP

I thought John Cleese was "R".

My PP is older, with these funny markings, Wermacht or something.

Tribute to my Father-in-law, long passed, that brought it home as a token from WWII.

"Walther PPK 7.65mm..like a brick through pane glass. The American CIA swear by them" love that quote when Bond has to reluctantly give up his preferred Beretta

1938 Zella-Mehlis PPK in 7.65, K serial ……1968 Omega 145.012……1998 Alfred Dunhill ‘Torpedo’ pen

I quite like classic ‘Design icons’

Interestingly, the PPK/S was created by the enactment of the 1968 GCA which, among other things, had "factoring" for height, length, etc. The PPK didn't have enough "points" for importation. Walther, with Interarms of Alexandria VA, the importer, combined the PP frame and the PPK slide, the result, the PPK/S had enough points to allow importation. Eventually, they licenced Interarms to manufacture the PPK here.

Congrats! I love mine, I've probably worn it 99 out of the last 100 days, despite owning many other watches... either i'm lazy, I'm in love with this diver, or a little of both. I think you will find it dominates wrist time for the foreseeable future.
