Just sharing...1971 Seamaster DeVille

This was my grandfather's 30 yr gift when he retired in 1971. Along with some card that got him free fuel for a few years so the story goes. Having his name engraved on the back of this and knowing that after 53 years (I'm 54 and born in 1970, so the math was easy even for this georgia boy) it still ticks and tocks pretty close to on time is amazing. I do believe my dad had it serviced in the 90's, but it hasn't been done since. I just picked it up to take this picture and it started right up. Love it. I did put this alligator strap on it as the other one had worn out completed. I know my dad had the original bracelet a long long time ago...but it was lost somewhere. Note, I also have the original box it came in which I think is pretty cool too.
