You are right, I've bee looking to vintage constellations many times but I never eventually got one... They are beautiful especially that mint like in the video your post. Somehow though I prefer the Seamaster design of the dial...

The Omega Enthusiast videos are a good source of information. The site sells authentic, unrefinished high quality examples but at very high prices relative to the market.

Really a classic designed watch. I wish I still had a few of mine.

Fantastic video. Beautiful watches that I was vaguely aware of through Desmond's blog. I've added the Youtube channel to my "check out occasionally" list.

This is what i can see
so the endlink 19mm are unstamped? I also found a pair of endlink 19mm that fits perfectly with the jumbo and Omega BOR but they are just generic, not Omega originial.

Yes, these could be not original as well.

There are really good repros, but 517 stamped would be correct 19mm Omega options. They aren’t exactly easy to find though.

Finally we have the 25th so I can wear it today 😀. Too lazy to change the date myself.

Pardon the ignorance in the following question as I am new to all this. Really want a constellation with pie pan dial so been eyeing his site after finding his videos. Are his prices still considered high compared to market or has the market caught up a bit now? I have seen some much worse examples go for similar prices as his lists prices on eBay recently.

Have you seen worse examples actually go for similar prices or offered for similar prices on eBay? If it’s the former a link would interesting really.

We’ve discussed two rather outstanding examples of a 2887 that was sold for charity and a very uncommon railtrack one on a flatlink recently, as they both went for pretty hefty amounts. My impression is that, while prices might have slowly and steadily increased for quite a while and especially good examples with structured or black dials achieve significantly more than they used to, regular gold-capped or SS ones still sell for less than half of what the OE is asking (Yes, he services them etc, but it’s far, far off “market value”).

I’m not saying those examples are easy to find though. 😀

I wonder if I just don’t know where to look. Or the Canadian market is sad for watches. I have mainly been looking on eBay and Chrono24.
Here’s a jumbo constellation example. Listed for $3432 US. A lot of OE’s watches are listed around that price too from what I can see. Not defending him, just wanted to understand the market better. I feel like my options are more limited in Canada.

Japanese dealers. Look at them every day for one year. Nobody said it would be easy. 😉
