We happened to pop into the Omega boutique on Regent Street, where they had a single copy of "A Journey Through Time" for sale. My wife is teasing me about paying so much for a book. But seeing how much I just spent on handbags, I'm not really getting her point Time for a quiet coffee and a browse I think ...
Think of it as necessary service for all of your watches. This is a big book with a lot of information. I don't know of anyone with it that regrets the purchase, pricey or not.
Oh, i want it, and it will be mine, but i know i will feel the 'this could be another watch instead' twinge. I blame you lot for turning me into a mindless beast with no self control. I already have my next four targets lined up.
It covers everything, from pocket watches through to mantel clocks & airplane and car clocks. I can't believe how comprehensive it is. Not sure it has 100% of everything Omega made in it, but it seems pretty close. For a while I have been thinking the money should go towards a watch & held off. But I wanted to find out about cal 353/355 watches & got fed up of Googling for scraps of info. So, I came round to thinking it was a sensible investment like Dennis said above. When we went into the boutique & it was £222 and not the £320 I was expecting it was an obvious decision. It's basically the cost of a service on 1 watch (or less) and now I can find out the essential information about any model I want, whenever I want
