Who do I contact about this type of situation? It's a new user and likely needs to be blocked so doesnt trick any of the other members.

Kind regards,
Mike

Same thing happened to me. A response to a WTB ad of mine looking for some Universal Genève ‘U’ endlinks. I have been looking for years and today is the global Polerouter GTG so I initially took it as an auspicious sign 🙁

I received the same thing, saw the message as I woke up this morning. Great job getting it cleared so quickly! The message no longer shows up in the inbox either

Also had a similarly worded PM. Person with zero posts telling me his friend had the 1565 bracelet I had posted in my WTB thread, with same name and email. This morning PM has been deleted...this person is motivated and understands it’s a numbers game! Looks like several members were hit by this scammer.

So this is an excellent learning moment for newer members, if a person with little or no forum activity contacts you and wants to move communication away from the forum, well this should be a big red flag ! I was hesitant to put up my WTB post for this very reason.

I received the same message to a WTB post, something along the lines that he saw this guy had one for sale, but I haven't seen the watch anywhere, and he cannot produce caseback or movement pics, tagged pic, anything specific.
