Can someone advise me.
I’ve just found this in an old box of my Dad’s things. I don’t remember him wearing it so it might have been my Grandfather’s.
How old is it, is it repairable?
Thank you....

I am in Buckinghamshire.

Hard to say when. I'm thinking 50s or very early 60s. Anything is repairable, it's a matter of what you want to spend.

Omega can do it, but they will restore it like new. Someone with an Omega service account can likely take decent care of it. If you want to leave it mostly as is but get it working, you'll have to share where you are so the appropriate watchmaker can be recommened.

The back of the case snaps off (don't do this yourself). A local jeweler might be able to get it off for you. A detailed picture of the case back plus a good picture of the movement (the thing with the gears) showing the caliber number and serial number will help in giving you more and better information.

Thank you for your advice.
I am in Buckinghamshire (have just added to post) so I’m hoping someone with an account or a specialist can help.

If it has sentimental value a repair is certainly worthwhile.

In the uk I'd use;

STS - the most expensive but an Omega authorised repairer.
Simon Freese - ex manager of STS.
WatchGuy- not as expensive but doesn't have an Omega parts account. May well be able to get it working perfectly fine though.
Mitka - as above
Chris N - as above (also active member here @ChrisN)

Thank you.
As I know nothing about watches & it’s past, does it have any value if I was to sell it as is or is it worth getting repaired?

It’s not hugely valuable - around £150 tops in its current state. If you’re planning on selling, just sell as is. You likely won’t recoup the cost of a service in the final sale price.

It doesn’t have a model name like Seamaster, Geneve or Constellation. It’s a simple, Omega with sub-seconds.
