Just wanted to share my last incoming as it is very rare to find a 176.004 Seamaster “Big Blue” 120M chrono diver anymore in this condition, with all original parts and in this collector grade condition.

The original blue dial is notorious for complete dial degradation and loosing its colour in time.

As well as the orange hand fading it’s color, the fragile bakelite bezel to loose its print and flaking/chipping badly and the inner bezel to chip its paint also.

This is a one owner watch that i just got from The Netherlands and has probably seen more safe time than wrist time as the original tritium lume is still not patinated from the sun at all.

All original brushing sharp and clear.

I’m just head over heals on all these quirky Omega divers from the seventies.

Anyone else here sharing my passion for the BigB?

Mine has gone a couple of years ago... And the new owner deserves it. :)

Congrats @JanV. I rather like a proper “degraded” dial and patinated lume..

I guess the watch has taken more sunlight than a sealion :)

As a sucker for 1970's Seikos, which are like "disco on your wrist", I know where you're coming from on the vintage Omegas. Nice get and I mean REALLY nice get. Sharp and freaking amazing

My other BB still has some days to go until it reaches your status. :) The patina is there, with some stardust. But no where near your dial.

    A truly superb example…Many congratulations

    I deeply covet that watch…

These 70’s watches, ( not just Omega ),… have an exuberant charm, that celebrates ‘pure fun’ in the design…that nothing else comes close, to matching since

A vastly underrated period.…One ( vastly overrated ), Hodinkee article away, from recognition
