Did any body on this forum ever see a white gold Grand-luxe? I mean physically see it? or ever see one for sale?.. Looks like it is really rare.... Surprisingly I have seen at least three listings on Gold flight masters in last couple of years (i believe only 25 of them are ever produced) Looks like White Gold Grand Luxe are very rare compared to gold flight master
I am assuming you mean Ref. 2852 or earlier (1st Generation). The ones with the partially mirrored dials. Like this rose gold piece: http://www.matthewbaininc.com/watch-details/868 No, I have not seen a white gold version. I think that, back in the days when the Omega Vintage Database showed the various case metals, I do remember seeing references to a "grey gold" version, but it could be like a unicorn. Many stories, but no actual proof of existence. gatorcpa
Aha! Found one! And it was right here: http://omegaforums.net/threads/do-any-of-our-members-have-this-version-of-grand-luxe.5052/ However, upon further review...it is not white gold, but platinum. http://www.antiquorum.com/catalog/lots/omega-lot-158-170?estimate_facet=20000-50000&page=1 The auction notes do not mention a white gold version of this reference. gatorcpa
