For sale is a Junghans Type 88/0111 chronograph issued to the Bundeswehr.

As you will see this example is fitted with the telemeter dial and there has been much discussion over the dial - it was used in a civilian watch but there is a belief that it was also used in some military issued watches. This is the 4th example I have seen.

The J88/0111 was issued to the Bundeswehr between 1959-65.
The movement is the in-house J88 which is finished beautifully. This one has the serial number stamped on it and shock protection which were both features of the military movements.
The caseback is the screw in stainless steel one and correctly marked for the military issued version.
The hands hour and minute hands are correct for the telemeter dial as the military hands are too long to read the scale. I will also include a set of the military hands (genuine Junghans hands for this model in good condition).

The watch has been examined by my watchmaker and sets, runs and keeps time well and all chrono functions work correctly.

The watch will is in Ireland and will be shipped from there - it may be possible to arrange shipping to the UK from Northern Ireland in the event that any potential buyer is UK based.

The price for the watch is £2000 (sterling) and will include worldwide shipping by tracked courier
