Specifically ref. 027/3381.44

Anybody ever seen/handled one in person? Own one??

Would love to know more about it. Looks wonderful to me. Evokes sort of a Mercury-era space race type feeling for me.

Here's a photo I grabbed from Chrono24 to get the mouth foaming...

I have never seen one in person, but just came across a review of them on YouTube. Cool watch. I prefer the light colored dial though.

I love the Speedmaster for a black dial chrono, this one in white reminds me of the old chronos from the likes of Gallet, Longines, etc.

The blued hands are delightful! Also love the case shape and domed glass. I guess we both just love a classic chronograph!

Saw the white one in person. The stepped sub dials make it better than the Maxbill Chrono for me. I was also a fan of the pushers.

A bit thick for me and that's probably why I don't own any chronographs.

i like the light brown driver version. the price is right, style is right.

.but i think it's going to wear very large for being slightly larger than 40mm...it's all dial.

i think it will wear bigger than a poker chip. imagine the face dial the size of a poker chip 🙁

For me, the key is that the black and the white (silver I suppose) versions have the Telemeter AND tachymeter scales on them making them just that much more utilitarian for chronograph fiends.

pIoNeErOfThEnILe makes a good point about how it wears, but I'm very comfortable in the 41-44mm size range so wouldn't mind it seeming big.

I start to take issue with large diameters that don't have a busy dial. They seem barren and give me the same feeling as a 70s movie: waiting for it to get good...then it ends. Dunkirk had this effect on me. I wanted to love it, but just couldn't.

Anyway, I will definitely be acquiring one in the next 6 months and will present "in-the-wild" pics and a review for you, my friends!

...gotta buy something to hold me over until the inevitable SS 321 or Apollo XIII LE
