Dear OP may I ask whether you have any reservations on this one yourself? What red flags do you see, if any?

To be honest I think the dial has been redone. Also Watch has been polished more that once I think. I’m not a tri-compax aficionado so I couldn’t tell you to much but that’s off the top of my head.

Well done. Walk away. It’s a redial. Printing quality is terrible.

I don't know much about these (ok almost nothing) but looks like the hour indicies are applied all over the place and even covering minute numbers in places. That can't be right. Also, writing of numbering in inconsistent throughout. Bunch of other things seem off.

I agree with you and think this one is a redial. Sloppy inking everywhere, especially the outer track, no ‘Swiss’ at six, marker overlap and roundly edges on the subdials etc etc. I could live with the condition of the case, personally.

Credit where it’s due. You didn’t really need us at all. Nice one 👍

I wasn't a 100% sure if the dial was redone at first glance it doesn’t look terrible I think. Once I started looking closely though I noticed the outer track and no *Swiss* signature. I was also wondering is it worth it if I could maybe talk him down? I’ve been lusting after this watch an good examples are few in number and for $6000+ I thought maybe I had found a good deal.

Do you own Sala yet? Rounding error on the price of these. Still your instincts are good.

You need to pick through a lot of garbage to find the good ones.

Redial aside, I thought that case looks pretty crisp for solid gold... and the movement looks pretty clean and unmolested. No?
