After a long pause in collecting watches I decided to get back in and the best watch to start a collection for me is the Speedy Pro "moonwatch" on a genuine rally strap so here it is. Sunny day in AZ driving my M2 with my new Speedy. Not bad.

Congrats on the car and Speedy. Here it's -3 outside, some snow on the ground, so the M2 is in the garage, and my Speedy is vintage. However I thought I would shoot a couple of photos to join in... Cheers, Al
Great looking speedies. When I first joined the forum, I was always beguiled how people could post so many pictures of "the same watch".... They all looked the same to me. Now I get it.
Honest question: What is the origin of the term "rally strap"? How did this particular style become associated with racing?
I believe you are correct, look at old school driving gloves made of leather, they all had holes punched in them for breathing also. The Omega rally strap is crazy expensive but to me it makes this watch.
